A logo featuring a yellow flying barabara bird with a navy blue curved line and the text 'Baraboo Acts Coalition' and the words 'Baraboo Talks', 'Baraboo Gathers', and 'Baraboo Acts'.

In November 2018, Baraboo became the center of an international controversy after a photo circulated depicting several young people giving what was perceived as a Nazi salute.  After becoming a cultural flashpoint for the nation, several community stakeholders came together to navigate through the controversy.  Through working together, several issues of social justice and equity surfaced in our community.  The group decided to continue  working on the issues that the photo had made clear. The Baraboo Acts Coalition was born.

The Baraboo Acts Coalition has participation from the City of Baraboo, Baraboo School District, Sauk County, Village of West Baraboo, UW-Madison Extension, Ho-Chunk Nation, Madison College, We Are Many United Against Hate, local businesses, non-profits, and community members. As we grow, we continue to cultivate diverse voices at the table in the decisions we make.
