We were never a black-and-white Mayberry. We are a beautiful, colorful, Baraboo.

Being part of a diverse community has allowed me to show others that I am more than my skin color. When we show up and speak out, our presence carries power. We need to see each other as neighbors, not just numbers. True change isn’t handed down—it’s co-created.

I also find that success can be seen in the small, unexpected moments that come from years of building relationships in a community.
